[starttext]Bowl Size: Classic holds 4.5 Quarts while the Artisan holds 5 Quarts.
Wattage: Classic has a 250 Watt motor while the Artisan has a 325 Watt motor.
Handle: Classic doesn't have a handle on the bowl, while the Artisan does.
Pour Shield: Classic doesn't come with one while the Artisan does.
Colors: Classic is available in 3 colors while the Artisan has 27 colors to choose from.
Here's a little unboxing tip. Tip the box on its side and slit open the bottom of the box. Open all of the flaps out before uprighting it. Then all you need to do is lift the box off of the unit. You are only lifting the weight of the box instead of (in this case) the 22 pound mixer. Also even if there is a significant amount of friction, the heavy weight of the mixer will assist in the separation.
